Dr. Gordon’s Advice

Indoor and outdoor dogs alike are exposed to all kinds of environmental toxins. Even the most diligent of pet owners will notice their dog’s fur is dirty or smelly from time to time. Maintaining a healthy coat not only ensures that your dog looks and smells great, but there are a number of wider ranging health benefits as well. A clean, healthy coat is your dog’s first defense against infection, and as such you should bathe your dog about once a month.

To effectively use Vetisse Neem Fur Soap lather and massage the shampoo bar thoroughly throughout your dog’s fur. Allow the soap to work for about 2 minutes before completely rinsing your dog. Always try to avoid getting soap in your dog’s eyes, nose or mouth as Neem Fur Soap is intended for external use only. After thoroughly rinsing out the shampoo, dry your dog.

While it is important to regularly bathe your dog, it is not recommended to bathe more than once a month except in an emergency.  Excessively bathing dogs cause their skin to become dry an irritated. As such, you want to reach a balance between regular bathing and maintaining the natural oils in your dog’s skin and coat.

Nevertheless, as a natural solution, Vetisse Neem Soap is enriched with essential oils that will help to maintain your dog’s healthy coat while simultaneously preventing bacterial, fungal, and viral infections.
